Calendar update for Season 3 of Repco NextGen NZ Championship

The date of the Alliance Services Grand Finale – the season finale of the Repco NextGen NZ Championship – has been brought forward by one week in February 2027.

The event at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park will now be held on 19-21 February in an effort to avoid a clash with the opening round of the Repco Supercars Championship, which will be contested at Sydney Motorsport Park the following weekend.

The Alliance Services Grand Finale now sits between the Supercars opener and the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour the weekend prior; completing an incredible three-week stretch of top-flight motorsport in the region next February.

The Alliance Services Grand Finale will highlight a massive on-track program, including the title-deciding event for the Summerset GT New Zealand Championship, plus Bridgestone GR86, SP Tools TA2 Championship, NZ Porsche Racing Championship, Nexen Tyre Mazda Racing Super Series and GTR NZ.

Several plans for exciting off-track entertainment will be announced in due course.

The 2026/27 Repco NextGen NZ Championship commences with the PTS Logistics Season Opener at Taupo International Motorsport Park on 13-15 November.

“It is important for our major partner Repco, our valued competitors, our broadcasters and our supporters that we didn’t clash with the Repco Supercars Championship opener, so moving a week earlier was a no-brainer.

“It is important for everyone to have access to both events. When we had notice from Supercars yesterday as to where Sydney would be positioned, we made the call to move immediately. We’d like to express our thanks to the Auckland Car Club and Tim Hill for being so accommodating in moving their event to enable this change.

“The new timing of the Alliance Services Grand Finale creates an incredible three-week period in the sport that will allow us to showcase the best and brightest of New Zealand Motorsport to the world, while also enabling us to carry our momentum over from January’s four back-to-back events and the 71st NAPA New Zealand Grand Prix just three weeks earlier.”
